In São José dos Campos, the architecture by Henrique Reinach and Maurício Mendonça provided a disciplined, light-filled framework for a multigenerational family retreat. The home needed to bring several generations together while allowing each person privacy, independence, and a space that felt distinctly their own.
The client’s collection of Brazilian art became the foundation for an interior shaped by many expressions of Brasil. Works by Alberto Pitta, Heitor dos Prazeres, and Antônio Gomide sit alongside furniture by Jorge Zalszupin, Sergio Rodrigues, Lina Bo Bardi, and custom pieces developed with contemporary Brazilian makers.
The rooms open around an expansive yard, allowing family life to move naturally between indoors and out. Art is not separated from children, meals, wet feet, or long weekends. It is folded into them.
The home reflects a Brazilian confidence. It is open to the world, and made warmer through the people who inhabit it.
